In addition to Kennedy’s above average academic honors, students here are more than just a bunch of smart kids; many could be viewed as possible art majors.

Danny Yuska, acting teacher, is directing Sweeny Todd. “This is my second year at Kennedy and second year as a acting teacher,” Yuska said. Yuska believes the musical will be a big hit for Kennedy; the showing will take up the auditorium.

Kennedy’s annual ONE Night concert kicks off at 6:00 p.m. tonight in the Kennedy Black Box. Donations will be accepted; all proceeds will go to the ONE Campaign in their joint effort with Kids Against Hunger to end world hunger.

Individual speech season ended with a bang, with six students earning honors at the top level of competition, the All-State Speech Festival in Ames.
